Centennial Rotary Club members at work delivering fresh Palisade peaches and Pears to raise funds for the Club’s various nonprofit volunteer activities and projects that our foundation sponsors. One hundred percent of the profits go to our foundation to help make it possible for our club to invest over $60,000 a year in service projects both locally and worldwide. 29 members of our club donated over 300 hours of their time to make this event a success selling and delivering over 1200 boxes of fruit!

 

Seventeen members of our Rotary Club assembled on April 22 to collect lithium batteries for recycling. Club member Steve Kaverman organized the event which was successful inspite of the snow that fell Saturday morning during Earth Day 2023.

After a two year recess due to Covid 19, Phase 5 was successfully completed on March 15, 2023. With the leadership of Julio Rivera and many volunteers form the Moca, PR area, the filter assembly and distribution was finally done. Centennial Rotary purchased and did the initial fabrication for 120 water filters in 2021 which were then shipped to Puerto Rico for two local Rotary clubs, local volunteers and Julio to assemble and distribute to impoverished citizens while providing a presentation of proper sanitation and hand washing methods. This entire project was co-chaired by Centennial Rotary club members Marc Garfinkel and John Peterson.

Once again Santa Clothes provided $150 of clothing from Kohl's to each of 120 children. Led by Centennial Rotary's Diane Zing, Rotary members from our club along with support from the Rotary Clubs of The Denver Tech Center, Highlands Ranch, Highlands Ranch Sunrise, and Littleton prepared for the shopping to begin.
